In March Russia added GM Garry Kasparov to its list of "terrorists and extremists". Last week they went one step further to arrest the chess legend in absentia for "terrorist activities".

For anyone unaware of who Kasparov is, he’s a very famous chess World Champion from Russia who held the title for 15 years.

    i saw ‘kasparov’ in the headline before seeing the community, and said aloud “gary kasparov? the chess champion?” and sure enough. fuckin wild.
