This comment cracks me up too because they link to a 6 year old answer to a question about The Gulag Achipelago author’s claim, that is essentially a giant wall of text stating that although “several independent sources” said the same thing, there is no proof one way or the other and the author might as well have made it the fuck up, and then a comment says “so most likely true?” How do you get that from a long winded vibes-based comment that states that there was no proof but even if it was made up, sure why not because Stalin was a meanie weanie?
