I’m all for keeping any remaining Confederate monuments if we fix them so they’re historically accurate.
We need more statues of John Brown

This is random, but I just finished Frederick Douglass’ autobiography and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
Besides being an important work of history, it’s extremely readable and accessible - especially for a book written in 1845!
