Mid “song”… more like mid YELL TO EVERY BLUE JAY within 5 square miles

      Yeah I live along one of their migratory corridors. The amount of, “what the hell is that noise?” comments I’ve heard on Teams calls is rather humorous.

    They warn all the smaller birds and critters if there is danger (hawk, dog cat, etc). They are noisy bullies but the smaller critters put up with them since they will also gang up on larger prey birds.
