It seems like a fun little distraction. I’m not gonna spend any money on it though
Only has a fraction of the strategy and deck building of the actual TCG. Just seems like the usual mobile garbage to me (stamina mechanics, a million currency types, pay to win), shame.
I’m kinda surprised, actually. I’m enjoying it, so far, but it’s pretty bare bones if you’re not looking to drool over pretty cards. We can’t even trade them yet, at best you have battles or putting them in a display.
It’s pretty blatant with the home screen being open card packs. Game needs some serious fleshing out.
Yeah, even if they want to keep it primarily to the collecting, there needs to be more.
I know it’ll never happen, but I remember Konami putting out Yu-Gi-Oh cards with special codes on them to coincide with some of the games. You typed in your code, you unlocked that card in-game. Would be nice if TPC could work out something similar, so your actual efforts could be part of your digital collection.
Not sure if you’re serious or not, but pokemon cards have come with code cards for a long time. The problem is they’re for a different game and won’t work on tcg pocket lol
I haven’t opened a PTCG pack since…
The OG Starter Decks.
This entire business model is criminal.
It’s pretty fun. But I find myself drawn more to TCG Shop Simulator to scratch the itch these days. Pokemon had it’s chance to innovate for decades and largely refused to.
The premium has a 2 week free trial. In about a week their revenue is going to explode
There is nothing pokemongos wouldn’t buy
