Congress, especially the Senate, is turning into a fucking nursing home. McConnel should do the right thing and retire now, because it’s obvious that he is not capable of actually performing his duties and is therefore letting down his constituents. I have this crazy suspicion that he won’t, though.
The reality is that time in office is used to determine seniority on committees. Both parties are “propping up the ancients” in a grotesque game of chicken.
I wonder if there’s any point in our future where we decide it might be worth trying something other than geriatric white dudes in office.

I think she was trying to play it off like McConnell was just hard of hearing and the reporter wasn’t being loud enough and that’s why McConnell wasn’t answering. It wasn’t a good bluff though seeing as McConnell hadn’t said anything intelligible in like 20 seconds.
