Here you can see more than 100 years of Scotland’s history captured by amateur and professional filmmakers.
Tucked away at the very back of the Kelvin Hall is the National Library of Scotland’s Moving Image Archive, where members of the public can access thousands of hours of footage from the vaults. There are onsite facilities for viewing VHS, betamax, DVD, and Blu-Ray formats, and the center is adorned with film-related artifacts like old projectors, clapperboards, and a Steenbeck 16mm flat-bed editor. There are PCs to browse the full online catalogue, or you can request access to a viewing room for a full private cinema experience.
