80% the time it isn’t even close to the case

here’s your bag of shredded “Mexican” cheese with no Mexican cheese in it. You can put it on your “taco” that’s got grey ground beef, watery flavorless red “sauce” that’s smooth because you can’t handle salsa, iceberg lettuce, and a dash of tabasco because you say “you like spice” but what you really like is vinegar. all served on an microwaved flour tortilla that is cold

    you don’t even use lime

    “Authentic”

Beef isn’t even the good stuff for tacos, Pork is where its at

Although i am a bit of an outlier for a pasty white dude; i like scorpion peppers (fruity flavor and heat), make my own salsa with them, can make fresh flour tortillas, and know that lime is both a fruit and a mineral used in processing cornmeal

Edit: oh and i grind my own chorizo (admittedly using a premade spice blend)

Don’t forget the low-fat sour cream. Your options are too much, or waaaaaaaaay too much depending on regional preferences.

Honestly a full fat extra sour natural yogurt like the way Indians make it isn’t thaaaat far off from cheap sour cream.

oh my god how could I forget the thick base layer of sour cream, spread around the entirety of the tortilla so that literally every bite has a huge dollop of

Tons of the people being deported are legal citizens. Some are native Americans that just don’t look white. Read the news.

Lmao, you actually think it’s about immigration and not just racism? They want to end birthright citizenship. They’re not going to stop at “illegals”

I once saw a video of a woman who was so fat that she was in her 30s, but still needed a mobility scooter. She was inside a gas station, yelling at a native american to go back home. Not a hint of irony, or understanding of what she was saying.

The woman even corrected her, saying “I’m native american”.

And the woman yells back “then go back to native america! Get out of real america!”

        No words. Just…wow.

How does that even work though, how many generations back does it go? I would say all white Americans back to Europe with you but we don’t want you here either.

      Legal citizens get deported, too:

ICE May Have Deported as Many as 70 US Citizens In the Last Five Years (article from 2021, long before our newfound deportation craze): https://immigrationimpact.com/2021/07/30/ice-deport-us-citizens/

Trump immigration raids snag U.S. citizens, including Native Americans, raising racial profiling fears: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/trump-immigration-raids-citizens-profiling-accusations-native-american-rcna189203

The point is not the food, but that our country needs to start relearning to accept immigrants as people. When my ancestors entered the US they did it 100% legally because there were no immigration restrictions; they walked off the boat and got started with their new lives. The bar has been raised dramatically, and I can’t say that has been good for much other than fueling xenophobia.
