Mailers from the Freedom Foundation dangling a dues “credit” looked like they came from a union president.

Tl;dr: the right wing, anti-union group Freedom Foundation attempted to commit mail fraud to get teachers to drop their union membership.

      What they did is felony mail fraud, so yes. If postal police or the DOJ pursue it, they can absolutely be charged.

      They real question is will they be charged?

      the AFT said they’re reserving the right to file a lawsuit in their Cease and Desist. I hope they pursue it.

    I guess if you can’t convince people to support your cause, trying to deceive them into doing so is the next best thing.
