People have joked about Pep being a bald fraud. Can I suggest Donnarumma as a balding fraud? Yes, he’s big, but he really doesn’t seem very good at some key parts of being a goalkeeper: playing with his feet, catching crosses, etc. I don’t think his ability to make saves makes up for those holes in his game. Remember when Pep first came to Man City and got rid of Joe Hart because his distribution sucked. Now, they seem to have chosen a similar kind of goalkeeper.

I don’t know if this is a hot take, but I honestly think at this point all the talk about Arteta needing to win a trophy this season is wrong. We probably will win the PL this season anyway (though anything can happen when you’re Arsenal), but making it to the CL final is something I’ve never experienced in the men’s team and it feels so good. Win or lose… we’re already as good as it gets.

So there we are. Well done Arteta.

The final will be tough; both our possible opponents can rest their key players for almost three weeks, we can’t rest anyone.

Edit: I stand corrected, PSG are still in a title race

Winning the next two Prem games with City losing both is what we really want. That’d line up a home presentation too

As of Sunday Arsenal is down to 1 game a week. That’s a huge rest compared to the gruelling schedule from the rest of the season.

    From this ArsenalInsider article:

Every knockout stage qualification brought in additional revenue, with UEFA awarding €11 million for reaching the round of 16, €12.5 million for the quarter-finals, €15 million for the semi-finals and €18.5 million for making the final.

According to figures shared by football finance expert Chris Weatherspoon on X, Arsenal’s estimated Champions League prize money total has now reached €143 million (£124m).

    Not bad, not bad!
