I know this happens if the battery swells up, but I do not see a spicy pillow in there. That battery is flush with the Digital Crown reader, and it only pops out if I shift the screen away from the Digital Crown (towards the connector). It’s an S1 circa mid-2017, at one point I replaced the screen on it (myself, not got a refurb watch from Apple) which is probably related. It’s also no longer my primary watch, it’s a sleep tracker and a backup in case I forget to charge up my S6 overnight. Lucky bonus, if I do need to replace the battery, the Force Touch sensor is still good so I can reuse that.
Yep! My Apple Watch 3 had this happen to it. I’m sorry this happened to you.
It’s where you put your super energy pill.
This happened on my S6 but since I have warranty coverage there was no charge. It was not repaired but replaced.
S6? That’s rather new, and I don’t have warranty on mine anymore.

Yes my Series 0 and Series 4 both did that. My wifes Series 3 also did it. We dont wear Apple watches anymore
Apple Watch Reverso
Apple offered a free replacement for Series 0/1 as this was a known defect…that was however back in 2015/16…No Idea if they still honor this…doubtful but worth a try
This happened to me with my S0 like 5 years after getting it launch day
Not yet, but only time will tell…
Yep. Had this exact same problem with the S0. Apple replaced it with an S1 free of charge.
How it poped?! I am at my 4th apple watch (4,5,8 and now ultra2) and never had this issue…
Same here with my serie 1…. Battery 🪫 got fat
When you replaced the first battery did you use a new seal or try to reuse the old one? I did the battery in my wife’s S0 years ago and getting the seal just right was tricky.
Yes. Battery swollen.
Happened to my S3 about 2 years ago. Apple replaced it with another S3 free of charge even out of any warranty. My watch was about 3-4 years old at that time.
Not sure if they would still do anything like this at this time though.
