    In what world do Texas and California team up?

    If not for the director, I would assume this is a disaster of a film. I’ll be curious to see how it does.

      Making a straight-forward disaster movie about a modern American civil war featuring sides divided on conventional political lines would be, at best, in poor taste in this particular moment.

      I trust Alex Garland and A24 to do something unconventional with this.

      Also, the trailer mentions “warnings to western forces and the Florida alliance”. I’d guess the crisis in question is climate-change related.
