As some of you already have noticed, feddit.nl is upgraded to lemmy v0.19.0. There are a lot of changes that are note immediately visible.
The most anticipated one (based on the requests I’ve received) is the ability for users to block instances for themselves.
In the original announcement you can find more details about this release.
❗ Notes: ❗
- Some users seem to have issues with random errors showing up, clearing cookies/data seem to resolve this issue.
- Sync doesn’t seem to work with 0.19.0
- 2FA is cleared for everyone. This is done automatically during the upgrade, because of the newly implemented 2FA flow.
Update: I have just updated Lemmy to 0.19.1 which should resolve the stutters in federation.
Great, I lost all my internet points.
TedvdB is hoarding our internet points for himself. Mastermind.
🙈
EDIT: Issue is fixed now, thank you.
I’m not sure anything from this instance is federating anywhere since this change.Looking at activitypub, attempting to subscribe to something gets no reply (the screenshot below shows me trying with 3 different communities, followed by what’s expected to happen with a random community on another 0.19 instance)Looking at an active community (like [email protected]), there’s been 6 posts in the past 2 days that aren’t showing up anywhere else (at <whatever_instance>/c/[email protected])Some users seem to have issues with random errors showing up, clearing cookies/data seem to resolve this issue.
Could not login without clearing cookies. Abit of a school boy error in testing the upgrade, lenny devs.
Go contribute then! It’s open source after all :)
I think the update changed the addresses of the RSS-feeds as well
Sync did indeed show me All, unfiltered, in my subscribed feed this morning. Restarted the app and it asked me to re-log in, and since then all looks fine.
im having issues with the apps connecting to feddit.nl and getting my feeds. anyone else have this too? Cleared cache and whole data. also in the browser the “show read posts” function is not working.
Thanks for keeping us up to date Ted :D
