I’m planning on making a biscuit Christmas tree today, and would love to see other people’s Christmas creations too. So if you have made any yummy treats this year please post pics here so we can all enjoy.
Edit: post updated to show the tree I made
The tree is complete.
I alternated layers of gingerbread and sugar biscuits with sprinkles baked in. The gingerbread recipe was a nightmare to work with, very sticky even after chilling. It made a firmer biscuit than the sugar biscuits though.
Last time I made one of these I used too much icing between the layers and the biscuits could not be separated. I just did a few dots between each this time which will hopefully be enough to keep it together but still let it be pulled apart.
Technically I baked a spinach & feta pastry?
I’ll post pics once it’s served tomorrow.
My partner does croissants for the family every year. They are a traditional Christmas breakfast for us.
Those look awesome!
I’ll be baking a whole snapper; does that count?
I think that fits in the daily dinner thread - I am anticipating record numbers of photos of amazing spreads there.
Unless you are baking gingerbread in the form of snapper for some reason, in which case post away!
