Other fun facts: some early diners were railcars.

The eggs at diners are so yellow and fluffy is because they use extra egg yolks left over from stuff that only needs whites and combine them with the rest of the eggs, and because they cover them on top of the griddle which steams them as they’re also frying.

Also, diners are nice and you should go to one and get some hash browns.

I really love diners and hope to become a regular at one again. I used to have a diner that I would go to almost every day before work, have a cup of tea and some breakfast, and shoot the shit with some older people about life and love and our world. It was fun, and I learned a lot from them, and I think they learned a lot from me. I hope to have that again someday soon.

I have a hole in the wall coffee shop like that that I go to, used to be a diner20+ years ago I believe. I’m not the best about striking up conversation with people there but its always good when I do. wish it was closer though, I have to bike or bus to get to it

Are all the Waffle House places considered diners? Should they be? I think so, on both questions.

      Certainly not prefab.
