I found A Very Fine Mind on The Erotic Mind-Control Story Archive via its Readers’ Picks page. One particular user, Darkside-DreamWeaver, had recommended this story with the following review:

This one was a nice change of pace from overt control, with an uncharacteristically nice guy as dom and an equally unusual happy ending for all parties. I liked the fact that the struggles were shown to be all of the victim’s own making, and that it seemed the gal was only being freed to do something she would have liked to do, if only she were less inhibited. I liked the gradual build-up to the finale but the ending was just a tad anti-climactic.which just reminds us, sometimes “it ain’t the destination, it’s the trip.” This was a good trip.

Like Darkside-DreamWeaver, I liked how thoughtful the guy organizing the situation was, and the happy ending was very welcome. Unlike Darkside-DreamWeaver, I don’t think the ending was anti-climactic at all, considering there were climaxes for both partners and also a climax for me.

      As an aside, I’ve seen you around a lot. To be honest, I always assumed you’re a bot, but today I looked into your account for the first time, and I’m glad I did. I really like the emphasis on emotion in Opening Her Up. It looks like you have good taste in things, by which I mean you have similar taste to me. I just wanted to encourage you to write more if you ever feel so inclined.
