The link seems rather outdated.
That there is no perfect defense. There is no protection. Being alive means being exposed; it’s the nature of life to be hazardous—it’s the stuff of living.

Stupid reply.
There is massive spectrum of options between macOS and Arch Linux.
Customers are giving Intel failing grades, Tan said, and the company is too far behind to catch up with industry leader Nvidia in developing technology to train artificial intelligence.
I am not a fan of Lip-Bu Tan, but this seems like a genuine statement.
When DDR4 just came out is was somewhat subpar relative to DD3 (and very expensive on top of that).
There is a lot of truth to that.
Google web search (and by extension services like Ecosia that rely on Google) has worsened in quality, especially for more niche content that requires some work to get to.
Thanks for the clarification!
I was under the impression this was all optical disc writing.
When the family got a computer with a CD-RW drive in 1999, I used a CD-RW disc as a sort of portable USB, I guessing that was the last time when I used packet writing. :)
This is more software news, but still a (nerdy) historical milestone of sorts.
I do hope it will be easy to enable CD/DVD/BD writing support if needed.
EDIT: I was mistaken, optical disc writing is not being removed, just one specific (and somewhat niche?) technology/approach.
I am pretty sure Kyiv Star would rather use Eutelsat (or even another non-American provider), but there is no pragmatic alternative at this point.
I am really hoping Eutelsat can get their act together in the next ~18 months.
We need to move off Starlink (and reduce dependence on American providers in a pragmatic manner), that being said from what I’ve read Eutelsat is no where near in terms of performance (bandwidth), base station size and global coverage (although from my understanding Ukraine is somewhat well covered).
Thanks for the clarification!
The web is unusable without Dark Reader and uBlock Origin.
Thankfully it seems that this is only for Dark Reader on Edge (not Firefox or Chrome).
Still worrying to see them integrate this fraudulent service.
Even mid-range smartphones have been “good enough” in the last ~5 years in terms of device performance.
Flagships used to be distinguished by camera quality, but this benefit is not as noticeable as it once was.
I didn’t think of that, but it’s true! 😄
Worth pointing out that MIPS is a mere shadow of it’s former self (some of my first routers were based on MIPS). They are currently a relatively small RISC-V design firm.
I do wonder how much of IBM’s POWER business is based on net new installations.
If you are running a a critical system on a POWER system (e.g. banking core), it makes sense to pay a high price and avoid the risks associated with complete rewrite.
But does IBM get any new client for their POWER systems?
With a quote post, the post you are quoting is fully (text, avatar image) nested in your post.
It was commonly used on Twitter (I deleted my accounts some time ago).
This would be a really neat feature and would allow for the best of both worlds so to speak.
Yes, I didn’t mean cryptography of course. :)
There are some very useful use cases. One that I have a decent amount of experience in is upscaling SD (or even VHS) content. Depending on the quality of the source material, you can get very good results.
I’ve also found LLMs helpful as a compliment to web searching for my work (I deal with lots of public datasets from international organisations); LLM queries have helped me find sources that I missed via directed search.
It can also be helpful as guided learning/reference system for Linux CLI (I tend to forget the parts I rarely use) or even software application more broadly (used it to help learn about GIS applications that I needed to use to access historical weather data for a work project).
This is pretty cool, I would consider buying a pre-made kit for such a device, especially if the resolution was higher than 768.
What do you like about Garuda?
