There have been posts on X/Twitter/Nitter and some Discords that some of the Mod-Menus have bypassed the anti-cheat, which makes all of this crappy for Deck players.

700 for the console, 80 for the Disc drive, and who knows what for the vertical stand on top of that. You are looking at probably 800 USD before any sales tax to get it all. Then you have to pay another 80-160 a year for a PS+ level, it just feels greedy.
The AI upscaling had best be top notch if they want these things to sell, because I’m not seeing a lot of reasons to upgrade from the base model here.
It doesn’t even have a frelling disc drive, get out of here.
I hope this means they will start rethinking that plan to launch a bunch of “Live Service” games by 2026. Of course they could come out with something unique, just Concord wasn’t unique and was just another drop in the bucket of a dozen similar games, many of which are free to play unlike Concord.
Customers who purchased a physical copy not directly from PlayStation will have to refer to that store’s refund process.
Oof, that’s rough because some stores have horrible return policies, with most not taking returns after a game is opened.
Before hitting submit I googled to make sure I remembered right on them wanting 10-12 live service games by 2026, turns out Sony already cut that to 6, but could still do up to 12 depending on how things went. Based on today’s news I’m guessing they’ll stick to 6 here.
The price increases were very high, I imagine a lot of people balked at 135 bucks for Extra, and 150 for Premium. I downgraded to a three month essential plan when the price increase went into effect and am seriously considering dropping Plus completely when it runs out in a couple of weeks, I love single player games and enjoy games like GTA Online and RDR Online, but 80 bucks a year is kind of steep for online play when I never know if I can play or not until I get home.
And yes I know those increases are close to a year old now, but subscriptions are just now running out for some people.
JK Rowling doesn’t believe Transgender people are the sex they identify with and as such is labeled a TERF, Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist, and many, especially on the internet believe she should be boycotted and no self respecting person would give her or her properties any money. You typically will see some form of that comment in most postings related to her or Harry Potter.
“Search or website ads” as a “commercial purpose” and that no one can use Reddit data without permission or paying a fee.
That stock isn’t going to sell itself, it needs value for Spez and friends to earn those golden parachutes.
This is bad for the open web, especially if more large sites follow this idea.
This should be an automatic impound of the vehicle and when the rep comes to pick it up hand them the ticket. Or you know, make the police send them a damn ticket.
Why won’t those people vote against the religious legislative class? Are they outnumbered?
For a lot of people religion is like a salad bar or buffet, they pick and choose the parts they like and ignore the ones they don’t. That seems to extend towards their politicians, be my brand of religion and policy and I’ll let you do almost anything because at least you aren’t that other person.
If you live in a conservative run state, watch what they do, in Georgia on the final day of legislation they do “sine die” which we sometimes call sign or die day where they just push through a ton of shit with little or no going over it before hand, they passed one of these social media ID laws that targets porn too, and it went through without pretty much anybody knowing about it from what I can tell.
What kind of database of depravity to use against you are these people building.
That’s why I said I wonder if their was a niche market for something like those devices, meaning I wondered if some company could make a newer modern version, like Apple used to make the iPod Touch for a while, which were almost the same as the iPhone just without the cellular connection.
I wonder if there is a niche market for something like an old Dell Axim x50v or a Palm Pilot that could do those smartphone functions on a wifi connection, that way you have the best of both worlds, carry a dumbphone. However, you could still walk into a local Library or even some McDonald’s and connect if need be on the other device.
Of course, then you have to inconveniently carry two devices and the temptation would probably still be there.
lol, that does seem to be how things work out sometimes.
It may be a coincidence but to make it start working I switched my default feed from local to subscribed, and then suddenly it was working.
Thanks for the work you put into this, as somebody who came over from Kbin it’s a wonderful thing to see.
I don’t want to add to your workload but on the Tesseract interface, the homepage gives me a “500 error filed to fetch that page” and has an error when I go to communities saying they aren’t known to the instance. It could be a me error, but I tried on two different devices.
EDIT: It really could have been a me error, now it appears to be working, sorry to rain on your parade.
Basic analytics will be free but it’s intending to introduce premium features via subscription.
Nickled and dimed by a thousand subscriptions… Seriously who would want this? Who is going to pay to have their trash monitored by some data company?
They played the long game and got almost all modern browsers to become Chromium-based so they all will have the same problem. Is there any alternative other than Firefox at this point? If I were the one making the billions I’d almost applaud their tenacity.
What’s their policy when someone buys one of these systems from one of these dickheads?
Most likely their policy is the same as the one Microsoft has for their games and consoles. Microsoft once told me, we’re sorry you purchased a banned console but banned consoles cannot be unblocked, buy a new one next time.
I still burn CDs… my ancient vehicle has a multi-disc changer and doesn’t require my phone to be on, so I like having the best quality I can get before I do the burning.
That kind of sucks, Wordpad was my go-to for quick edits of things, it’s so much better than “new” notepad. I have Notepad++ and while good I just don’t think it’s a replacement for Wordpad.
Just for reference on how low that amount really is to them, they had around 75 Billion in revenue, 2.4 billion of that was net profit in the last year based on a quick search… That makes the fine around 1.3% of their net. A ridiculously small amount for multiple breaches.
