I’m European, I technically have a MC credit card which I’ll use on the rare occasions I need a credit card, but the vast majority of the time it’s debit card or direct transfers (what they’re now calling wero).

The first part of their little equation might work, the second part though…
Are you French (going from the instance)?
Not gonna lie it’s rare I need 3D work and for the small things I need here and there I have some basic skills to get it done in blender, but if you send me your info I’ll add you to my network list and might call you up sometime!
Oh my god I needed your comment for it to finally click, I was thinking “they stopped putting their hair up to protect their shoulders from the increased UVs”? But of course, it was referencing the sprays!
I guess you also count minerals as plants?
Ah fun! My latest and greatest short the director is also coming from the stunt world and debuting as director, y’all are a fun crowd ;) I definitely wouldn’t mind doing more action stuff. I love working with the French but it’s all slow drama 🤣
Yeah, Europe, I’m based in the Netherlands but I’m French and most of my short film stuff happens there and my paid stuff here. Probably gonna try hitting UK productions as well since I know they shoot in the continent a lot and like to have EU citizens for that.
What about you?
Trying to! Right now I’m still just busy with working corporate stuff/real estate to earn my living and working on short films and a little bit of studio work on the side (DoP). This year is the year I update all my stuff and give it a good push though, starting to have enough experience, the tricky thing is I live in a country with a small-ish industry and I also don’t speak the language at native level to work in the local TV, but I can drive/fly to other nearby countries where I do and we might move there eventually as well.
More rum for me.
Yes, they do, but in their mind Paris IS France, so yeah.
IMO degrees are overrated for all but people like doctors etc. Learning on the job always worked fine for me and at one point I was managing a division of over 40 people. These days I went back to my more “passion” career as freelance and couldn’t be happier. I plan on finishing my days as a woodworker (because we all know I ain’t getting retirement).

10·5 天前I work in the field, in Europe, and can confirm this is about right. There are also situations where you start needing permits to film, either because it’s private property or even public property if you start having to put down a lot of equipment and crew.
Holy shit it’s true.

Just yesterday someone I work with had a t-shirt with a small, centered inscription just below the neckline. I didn’t catch myself in time and asked if the shirt was inside out, because it really looked like the logo/information you’d see inside under the neck on the back.
We’re not the ones that fucked around so even if it gets even worse for newer generations I’d say we still qualify the most for what’s described in the post.

The blue/green sides with brown/green middle was certainly a choice of colours, not surprised about all the map jokes.
