At this point in time, I am the sole worker at my site, 300+ miles away from anyone at HQ or otherwise.

The night before, I turned my phone off and slept in, then woke up and started browsing indeed, I was hired as a service tech, same field with a $5 raise a week later.

but, this makes the barrier to entry that much higher. Any public TOR relay is an instant breach of the law and provable if the target IP is identified as one, and most could very easily be. One would need to go private, on their own hardware.
