Genuine question, how does a municipal government pass and enforce a law like this? Where I live I don’t think a municipal government could do this (both practically and legally)

From my understanding, both Social democrat and Democratic socialist were interchangeable terms at one point, but eventiay came to mean 2 different ideologies.
Democratic socialist are socialist. they want to bring about socialism under a democratic system.
Social democrat want to apply socialist principals to the existing democratic, capitalist framework. Examples of this would be the Scandinavian countries.
To add to this, vote in primaries. Some places even offer open primaries. Make sure that the next blue candidate is a progressive. Especially useful if your area is a blue safe seat.
The only reason wait tines would possibly be lower in for-profit health care is because there are fewer people in the system because more people can’t afford it.
