  • Heh, you at least used stock art, I have known people who used to think copying images from “Google Images” is fine. 😀 People (mostly) know better now though.

As for games, there are tons of free assets available these days, which aren’t best for for releasing a game, but are good enough for prototyping, and even developing rest of the game.

And don’t worry too much about it, we all have our personality quirks that can be beneficial in certain aspects of life but a little annoying in others aspects. Just need to slowly learn the balance.

  • Heh, I don’t think they will go for 12 in main game. 10 is a nice round number, and they stopped in middle of page just so people don’t expect another page, but clear that and let us know!

That’s the problem with multiplayer modes, you need enough people that there are always healthy amount of lobbies around, and I am not sure Switch 2 is at that point, specially for a game like this.

    Heh, poor Jimothy.

Looking forward to that stupid thing you’ll be doing soon.

  • I played New Vegas on PS3 too, but I think it had some save related issue, the more you played the bigger your save got until you weren’t able to save or something, don’t remember exactly.

There are rumours of a remake now. Would be interesting if it’s a proper remake and not a remaster like Oblivion.

Someone shared ( in /c/Games I think) about PS2 Monster Hunter a few days back and it was obvious how difficuld it would be. The series has come a long way in improving quality of life.

  • I pretty much agree with your whole point here, so I had to go back and re-read what we were discussing 😀

I think the fighting for scraps thing come from everyone having limited time for these entertainment. Games aren’t just competing with other games, they are also competing with Netflix and other such entertainment, as well as from games like Fortnite and Roblox. You can argue that these people won’t play other games no matter what, but they are still party of that growth that video game industry has seen. They are still part of that 3+ billion gamers the industry claim (or 100+ Million console gamers, if just talking about consoles). And I think that’s where some of the issue comes from, all companies want their share from that pie of gamers which leads to all these decisions.

  • Well, I am not sure how game companies define their target audience, but aren’t these players part of the same “gamers” pie that all these companies want to get attention of? These kids would still be playing games if there was no Fortnite, but it’s the live service game that is keeping them so engaged that they don’t have time for much else.

Of course if they aren’t even the target customers, then that discounts this whole argument.
