Easier on the stomach maybe but not easier on the mouth. Can’t say I’ve tried it recently, but the taste of coffee still doesn’t do it for me.
Not sure. I don’t think it’s the caffeine though, because I drink other caffeinated drinks just fine.
Stovetop@lemmy.worldto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Lemmy needs more donations11·2 hours agoCongrats, you found a troll who has been active for exactly one day, with one of their 8 existing comments having already been removed by a mod. Do you see mass upvotes like the pro-Russia propaganda gets on .ml?
Stovetop@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•Zelda 64: Recompiled (Majora's Mask) adds modding support, texture pack support, optimizations and moreEnglish3·4 hours agoAt first I was like “Why would anyone want to change OoT’s art and mess with perfection?”, but I do have to admit that I have really been craving a modern Zelda game in the vein of the N64 releases, which is a formula they haven’t touched since Skyward Sword in 2011. And Oblivion just recently showed me that sometimes a new coat of paint really is all you need.
Wind Waker at least is a game that (visually) aged very gracefully and I think can still stand against newer games even now, but I’ve played it to death and just wish we had something new.
Also not to discredit BotW/TotK or anything, I think they are still great games and I also really enjoyed them, but they’re just built different. Zelda is now a franchise of 3 distinct styles, but only two of them (2D and open world) are still getting new releases.

Stovetop@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•I avoid approaching women in public because I believe it's inappropriate. My parents say that it's a necessary skill. Who is right?16·4 hours agoThe process of “courtship”, if you want to call it that, is definitely something that has changed dramatically between generations.
Your parents never had to bother with things like a woman specifying a time to “debut”, meeting with suitors under the supervision of an elder, the taboo of an unmarried couple being alone before marriage, the obligation for a woman’s family to put together a dowry, etc.
I mean, women in most of the west have only had political agency for just shy of 100 years, and even less than that as “equal” members of the workforce. Social dynamics have radically changed over the past several generations, and are continuing to change even now.
There was some indeterminate point in western society when advice like “You know what would really win her over? Duel her most eligible suitor” universally stopped being good advice, and the same is happening today with many of the dating strategies our parents grew up with.

Women are under no obligation to accept the advances of any random person in public, and framing that as a “them” problem is super disrespectful.

I’ve been very into Zelda rando stuff lately, but the mod support shown here just seems above and beyond what I’ve seen so far from my limited experience with Ship/2Ship.

Same. I’ll admit I’ve never been much for coffee to begin with, but in the past, when offered, I’d have some to be polite. Today, though, coffee does unspeakable things to my insides that I try to avoid it at all costs.
Stovetop@lemmy.worldto Toilet Paper USA@lemmy.world•She who becomes a machine gets rid of the pain of being a man?3·6 hours agoIt might depend on how far you go with it, I guess. I don’t think we’re anywhere close to the archetypical cyberpunk dystopia that our media landscape is riddled with, but I do know that question of “what is the minimal requirement to be considered human” is a recurring concept in a lot of them, just because it’s the sort of question people today think about and don’t often have solid answers for.
Stovetop@lemmy.worldto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Lemmy needs more donations41·7 hours agoThank you for saying what needs to be said. Imperialism in all its forms is indefensible, yet I’ve never been able to understand the cognitive dissonance that can condemn Israel’s genocide while simultaneously trying to justify what Russia is doing in Ukraine.
Stovetop@lemmy.worldto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Lemmy needs more donations41·7 hours agoI think we must have different experience with .world in that case. I haven’t seen the pro-Israel sentiment echoed around here, nor would I ever hold such principles myself.
I have seen some folks also hold a negative opinion of Hamas, but no one pro-Israel unless they were trolling or something.

I had thought Ship was decompiling and recompiling it into its own package, but what you describe makes more sense.

Stovetop@lemmy.worldto Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Lemmy needs more donations11616·2 days agoAgreed. I’d like to support continued development of Lemmy, but I’m hesitant to do so knowing that part of those donations go to lemmy.ml’s server upkeep.

I see this kind of sentiment all the time on Lemmy and generally agree with it, but it feels like platitudes at this point when no one can recommend any concrete action.
What, you don’t remember that part of the Bible?
Mozilla 11:28 - “Come to me, all of you who have 87 tabs open, and I will give you grouping.”
I’m on a mobile app which doesn’t yet have mod log integration, so I guess I’ll just have to trust you on that one.
But if your argument is that Lemmy.world isn’t doing enough to police trolls spewing hate, do you have anything to say about the example .world user you pulled up who has since been banned for the type of problematic rhetoric that is supposedly allowed here?
Again, all within a day, mind you. I still have yet to see any evidence indicating a trend, and I’d wager I’m here a lot more often than you are.
