I’m a Fedora user myself. It’s pretty well built but I’ve had a lot of issues especially with the Wayland stuff. That’s getting better for sure but Ubuntu has the type of tech support that older people are used to.

You can’t do an advance order without the app. Other restaurants allow you to order online. You can go into the restaurant and order, yes.

But the only way to get a “deal” is to use the app. Food is more expensive without it. Which is dumb.
