So I would suggest that anyone actually learn to read what is written. We’re the home of Bernie Sanders, the highest per capita LGBTQ population (first state to support civil unions), and one of the highest gun owning states with the loosest laws. We’ve got legal weed and you can grow your own (most states prohibit), and abortion is a right codified in our state constitution (the US is 50 countries in a trench coat plus some exploited territories). We were once our own country separate of the US and prior to it, and we lasted longer as an independent republic than the confederacy during the civil war lolololol.

You’re right that a nicer solution sounds swell. If these people were prosecuted or the US people did come together to stop these predatory corporations it would be better than violence.
But at this point it’s a trolley problem. I mean I can only assume that part of your issue is that it’s more abstracted. If you were with this billionaire CEO driving a trolley car, and he was running it full steam at a pile of tied up sick people on the train track and the only way for you to stop him was to push him off the moving train and grab the breaks yourself I would hope the “right” thing to do would be clear whether you could bring yourself to do it or not.

What part of America has always been teetering between right wing and outright fascist (save for a few years during WW2) do you not understand? Our history from our founding (ignoring native history that predates it) on is a story of insane religious Puritanism and persecution of anyone subversive of that (Salem witch trials is a great example starting pre US, but it goes all the way to satanic panic of the 1980s and todays christofascism), our land theft from natives and genocide of them, from the beginning to modern day (notably our attitudes of manifest destiny being really obvious even today), our enslavement of Africans and their descendants from the very beginning to present day in prisons thanks to the 13th amendment, I can go and on and on. We’ve been at war in some way shape or form for all of about 7 years out of our nearly 250? And that’s ignoring the colonial / native stuff prior.
