I don’t know why so many people like this game so much. I found it unfathomably boring, slow and repetitive.
I started playing back in 2021 because of a friend, he loved the game and asked me and another friend to play with him.
Gave the game a chance and it was absolutely atrocious, I didn’t feel the character skills were interesting enough to spice the movement and shooting mechanics. Like, they do so little for the gameplay. And I was falling asleep when they locked-in and stopped talking while playing.
Comparisons are unfair but I don’t know exactly why I disliked this game so much when I’ve always loved Counter Strike.
I cannot play anymore because my OS of choice doesn’t allow kernel level anti-cheat but I really believe nothing of worth was lost.

This is an unpopular opinion?
I think all pvp manshoot games are boring. Even Counterstrike.
Maybe because the community is huge and it’s very mainstream?
It’s one of the very few competitive games played by women I know in real life. Most of them play more casual games or single player stuff.
Me too, what do you play?
I like action games with great big stories and RPGs mostly. When I’m feeling like I want just gameplay and no real story, I’ve been playing a lot of roguelikes of all flavors, short incrementals, and rhythm games lately.
Any roguelikes you’d recommend (or rpgs :-)?
Sure! For roguelikes I’ve been recently enjoying Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, and Demon Lord: Just a Block. Lost in Random is an action one with a great art style and neat games-of-chance theme running through it. Tough as nails, though! Demon Lord is a turn based tile affair with a ton of charm and humor and an interesting parry mechanic.
And on the RPG side, I recently finished Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon which is an Elder Scrolls-like featuring a grimdark take on Arthurian stuff. I really enjoyed the punchy beefiness that mages get. Spells felt really good to use!
I play a TON of games, so these are just ones that have recently stood out to me, not best in their genre or anything. Just fun. :)
Thanks! I’ll check out all the links even if I think it’s all “3d action”, I’m a bit of a slow player, but, thanks again!
