He might be rich, but he shits shis pants, can’t sleep, is physically in a state, his mind is addled, his wife hates him, everyone close to him can’t stand to be so. He’s in his own little private hell.
He’s ancient and in failing health, near death. Yet his narcissism, his greed, his corruption are stronger than ever. What possible use could he have for the billions of dollars he’s defrauding us? …… but a grifter is going to grift.
I’ve somewhat given up, in that he’s shown a talent for staying beyond the law and has millions of groveling sycophants: he’s unlikely to ever be held accountable for his crimes in his time remaining. But his minions can. His children can. His legions of cult followers can.
When our psychotic breakdown is over, will we have the honesty to hold them criminally liable?
There is no amount of suffering that could make up for what he has done. That said, I’d like to see that theory tested. I would love to be proven wrong.
