I’ve been working on a project called 100,000,000. The idea is deliberately simple: One person. One photo. One message.
The aim is to build a public collection of 100,000,000 photo-message contributions over time — a snapshot of what people wanted to say at a particular moment. I’ve spent a long time building the website and the systems behind it, and I’ve now opened it to a small number of early visitors rather than trying to launch it loudly all at once.
At this stage I’m especially interested in feedback on:
- whether the idea makes sense immediately
- the homepage and overall experience
- browsing the photo/message gallery
- anything confusing, broken or awkward
- what you think of the concept itself
The site is: https://100000000.photos/
There’s also a Discord for anyone who wants to follow the project, discuss it, report problems or suggest ideas:
This is very much the beginning. I’d rather have a handful of people genuinely explore it and tell me what they think than throw a huge amount of traffic at it straight away.
If you take a look, I’d genuinely like to hear what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d change.

Totally fair — and that’s exactly the kind of reaction I’m interested in hearing.
The $1 is deliberately part of the model rather than the site being a free photo-upload platform: one person, one photo, one message, one contribution to the collection. But if $1 is enough to make you immediately say “no”, that’s useful feedback.
Out of curiosity, is it mainly that you wouldn’t pay to upload something anywhere, or that the project doesn’t currently give you enough reason to want to be part of it?
