i’ve updated to 0.17.4, which has some security fixes and db optimizations. official release notes should be out tomorrow.
0.18.0 will hopefully coming soon which should help more with performance issues, by getting rid of websockets.

For whatever reason, I can’t seem to search for and find the groups hosted on lemmy.ca on other fediverse instances. I made an account on a kbin instance and while I can add groups from other lemmy instances, lemmy.ca doesn’t work. I can’t find an obvious reason for this.

I’m aware of issues federating with mastodon instances. trying to get that figured out.
Yep. I saw your comments on another post and this issue was fixed for me those nginx config changes.
