What consequences? As long as they spend 70% or less of their revenue (fpp or financial fair play) they can spend as much as abramovich (the owner) wants. Abramovich has deep pockets and is passionate abt winning if not ill advised on his decision making. Theres nothing to stop him from spending. The revenue doesnt seem to be suffering despite their lack of success the last cpl seasons

Ok first of all Abramovich sold Chelsea two years ago to Boehly-Clearlake.

The idea that Boehly-Clearlake will just pump as much money as it takes to find success again is mad to me. Surely at some point they will have to cut their losses.

Even if they could write a blank check to the club every year, at what point do the best managers see the pattern at the club and decide the juice isn’t worth the squeeze?

Good man i guess im out of the loop. Theyve been operating like they were still under Abramovich.

As for managers not coming. I dont think that will be an issue unfortunately. Every top manager is pretty egoristical. U kind of need to be to become a top manager. Id imagine most will see the track record, but also see that they would be able to spend like city and think

“I’m going to be the one to turn it around. I’ll win big and become a legend”
