Its a good read. I doubt all of the patients are as blameless as they claim, but I don’t doubt that some/many of the abuses by the industry are legit and there are innocent patients suffering from corporate cutbacks. In hearing anecdotal stories from nurses and clinicians (unrelated to dialysis treatment) the behavior of some patients is beyond the pale.
The recent small scale success with xenotransplantation using modified pig kidneys gives me hope that the days of commercial dialysis are numbered because those that need them will get replacement kidneys instead.
