    Possibilities:

    A: the makers used a dodgy batch of mushrooms containing toxic species they did not want or intend to use.

    B: the manufacturing process denatured the ‘good stuff’ into ‘bad stuff’.

    C: Both of the above.

    D: Aliens

      Really good chance there were no mushrooms at all and they got a bad batch of Chinese mystery chemicals

      That’s what happens when you get into sketchy mushrooms. There’s a whole weird grey market of sketchy shit. Maybe 15 years ago, it was “spice” and other legal highs. Since that stuff got banned, the “legal high” market just got weirder and weirder
