From the trailer, I get the feeling that the movie is going to be a bit egotistical and preachy? Maybe that isn’t the right word. It just feels like the director is shouting at the viewer through the trailer about the state of the chaos in the world today. Obviously, his older movies were much more intimate stories focused on character growth that I found very easy to watch. This seems like a huge scope with a high concept and a risk of going off the rails.
I’m in the same boat with limited time to sit down and watch a movie. Will probably not waste my time on this and only watch it if I hear good things from people in my life that I trust to give decent recommendations.
I avoid watching stuff with nudity in it so I won’t watch this but it doesn’t look like it’d be an unenjoyable watch. It might be a lil cheesy, but the plot seems solid on its face and the cast will be probably be enough to keep you engaged, if nothing else.
Anyone have an opinion on this? I’m intrigued by the trailer but haven’t yet convinced the wife to dedicate our limited TV time to it.
