Billie Eilish has vowed that she will not share details about her sexuality or dating life "ever again" after facing backlash over candid comments that she made earlier this year.
“My experience has been that it’s seen in such a weird way,” Eilish continued. “People are so uncomfortable talking about it, and weirded out when women are comfortable in their sexuality and communicative in it.”
The 22-year-old singer faced backlash over candid comments that she made about sex earlier this year.
That is why people are uncomfortable. Most adults are trapped in a middle schooler mindset regarding the topic. Especially when women’s sexuality.
I don’t like this singer as a performer or a person but I’m not going to get upset because she wants to talk about masturbation.
The comments I’m seeing here are part of the problem. If you don’t like what someone says about a topic, fuck off and don’t listen. You don’t get to gate keep other’s speaking about their lived experiences. Seriously, fuck all the way off.
I mean…running around talking about your sex life is pretty strange, so I get the outrage. But I do think that this case is different; as the article itself points out:
“I basically talk about sex any time I possibly can,” she said then. “That’s literally my favorite topic.”
I don’t think that there should be an expectation that either men or women talk about their sex lives openly, that would be unusual and odd. However, people are allowed to have their special interests. There’s just a bit more of a heads-up when someone like Gwyneth Paltrow does it because if she talks about sex in an interview, she’s probably promoting her sex stone eggs or whatever, not an album targeted towards the masses.

It’s strange because people with a prudish mindset make it weird.
It’s not about an expectation that people talk about, you are part of a group that sets an expectation that people NOT talk about it.
Sex. You wouldn’t exist without.
Gwyneth Paltrow is mentioned zero times in this article. You are the one make this weird.
haha okay sure buddy
NO WAY!!
