Released in 1988, it was re-released in 1990 alongside its inclusion on The La’s self-titled and only album. I once had a house mate who loved this album and I would probably agree with his opinion that it is an almost perfect LP. Sixpence None the Richer covered this song in 1999, but the original is far superior!

I’ve always loved this song but I’ve never heard anything else on the album. I agree the original is far superior to the cover.
