I’m not sure grams of protein is a useful measurement for coffee or tomatoes

But aside from that tofu-cool stay winning

Yeah maybe could have subbed those out for protein powder or something else relevant to actual protein consumption in the diet. Coffee and tomatoes have nice polyphenol content.

Not the same instance, by the way. But yes, I saw your earlier interaction and I’m confused, too.

i think it’s the user tagging; they share lists of “known tankies” to avoid.

the lemmy communities are starting to merge in my head and i think that it’s a sign that i’m getting old since i used to pick on my parents for doing the same thing when they were my age. lol

Why is a dairy herd worse than a beef herd? Is it because of the wasted resources from continual pregnancy and culling the calves?

Either that or there’s less protein for some reason.

Oh that makes more sense, less protein in milk than beef.

Milk is also on the list, so It’s specifically about the meat. Likely because of breeding for specific traits and lifespan, so a dairy cow would be kept alive longer (more greenhouse gases) and have a lower yield. I don’t like how I phrased that, but I hope my point comes across.

Yeah, it’s sickening to talk about sentient beings as if they were commodities or stock.

inb4 someone says that tofu or whatever isn’t a “complete protein” when it turns out you just need to have a balanced and varied diet

(but tbh if I could live off tofu alone I probably would)
