“I’m excited for people to get to see the essence of what we’re doing, because it really has been like this private secret that we’ve all been hoarding,” he said. “We felt really good about it, like from a moral place, even from the beginning. We all felt like we were doing something good, both in terms of quality and in terms of actually something that’s not a fascistic power fantasy.”

    It has been well over a decade since a movie starring Superman came on the big screens.*

    I am going to remain optimistic, and wait for the proper trailer to form full opinions, but I do agree that the teaser could have shown more of that optimism that James Gunn is talking about in his interviews.

    *There have been movies which featured the character but always detrimentally sidelined him for a shinier toy (Batman, JL, etc.)
