[Bug]: So lore cont. facts and LTM cont. “synopsis” of prev. events… Why than LTM work as replacement of the lore when its not doing (and shouldnt, i belive) the same thing as the lore at all?..

When LTM is disabled - AI handle lore flawlessly, but after LTM is enabled - AI immediately start ignoring the lore…

[Help]: Or… there is a way, maybe, to make both this features to work together? (like add/edit/replace strings in the editor or smth, if possible.) Askin for the help cuz im unknowledgeable in java to do smth by myself with that issue. Would appreciate if someone can share a “crutches” (just in case it wouldnt get official fix)

Maybe this is a related thread?

I will reiterate what I said there:

You can check (and edit) all the memories the AI has with the /mem command, and /sum for summaries (if it has them). If you want to check which memories/lore/summaries are being looked up during message generation, I suggest opening the browser Dev Tools (F12 or Ctrl+Shift+J opens the console) before sending a reply, and when the AI starts to reply you should see the AI’s message generation process.

The way the AI generates replies is they query the memory (LTM or Long-Term Memory) and the lore. It might prioritize the memories since it is relevant to the chat whereas the lore might not be since it is for general knowledge/info while the memories are specifically about the current chat.

      Thank you for your reply.

But… can i force AI to stop prioritizing one thing over another?

Both features are useful for me, and LTM by itself not doing the stuff that the lore does… With the lore i get intended and expected results from the AI replies, when with the LTM feature enabled… shit often gets ugly (cuz there is no lore being used)… Lore keeps facts and mem keeps memories of previous events, but since lore is overlooked - there is no facts and everything start as either blank or unfitting (not authentic)…

So all i wish is to make AI stop choosing one feature from this two and start using them both.

I belive it should be possible, on my end, to force AI to work with both lore and LTM, but within my access only is Android powered device and im unknowledgeable in java, so it’s really hard for me to figure things out on my own.

You could delete/edit the memories with the /mem command if the memory generated is not in tune with what happened from chat. Sadly, there isn’t currently an option to prioritize one over the other.
