Proxy Not Ready Issue

Using Firefox on mac, downloaded the Firefox extension, and was using i2p for all of 5 minutes and then I started getting the “proxy not ready issue”. I removed the extension, as well as i2p and then re-downloaded everything and I’m still having the same issue.

Yes, Im running the i2p app on my mac while trying this. In Firefox network proxy settings I have tried setting it to no proxy, default system, and even the customer proxy as suggested by the i2p site. However I presume the Firefox extension is supposed to do this all for me.

Can anyone give some guidance?
