Anecdotal but I have managed a fleet of over 1000 Lenovo Chromebooks for almost a decade and have found them to be solid and easily repaired when needed. We also have had no issues with a tiny fleet of Thinkpads.
The only major issue I’ve run into was the supply chain issues during the pandemic. Not unique to Lenovo but was interesting that it was exacerbated by Lenovo being found to use components from subsidiaries that regularly used forced labor in manufacturing.
have to agree. ibm/lenovo thinkpad repairablity can always be better, but en repair guides abound (I know the article dings them for lack of fr guides) and physical access to the internals are pretty reasonable.
most recently dealt with thinkpad p16’s and they were lovely to work on. thinkpads are still my go-to for anything other than a boutique purchase.
