People call MAGA fascist because fascism usually involves:
extreme nationalism, which is obvious with trump
totalitarianism, which is also obvious. Trump is not seeking to work within a system of checks and balances — he’s seeking total power; he is the law, he cannot break the law, etc
anti-democratic stances, which is also obvious given hints at “king”, third term, etc
suppression of opposition, given how everyone who doesn’t agree is getting fired and how he’s signing executive order after executive order in an attempt to cement MAGA ideals and enact project 2025
overt flaunting of power or military strength as a negotiation tactic; again obvious with tariff threats etc
