Whenever people talked about “the bird sanctuary in Delta”, I just assumed they meant OWL. It turns out there two bird sanctuaries! Today I also learned Westham Island exists!

Honestly it’s a nice walk even without the birds. It’s also late fall on a sunny day. You can see lots of nests and into areas foliage usually blocks
I always thought as a little kid that it was pretty ironic to have a bird sanctuary named after an object that kills birds; for all that the spelling is different and it’s a dude’s name.
