For me it’s:

Due in 2 weeks: “Oh no, I’ve gotta do this thing. Let me get started early”

Due in a week: “I already got started so it should be fine.”

Due in a day: “Oh no, I’ve gotta finish this thing.” (and then I proceed to spend hours just rushing my way through it)
