I remember hearing they dropped HBO from the name because HBO is associated with more adult oriented content and they wanted to to show they have more than that. But since the name change they’ve been dropping Cartoon Network shows every time you turn around.
Sadly, No. They cancelled (the legendary) F Boy Island after only two glorious seasons and cut back on reality content. I don’t think they have a plan, they’re just marketing people hoping to brand their way out of this mess

I think they dropped it to not taint the HBO brand with the eventual reality crap they’re going to add on their catalog.
