Yes, the stock market is nothing more than a reflection of the confidence of capital, and for now they seem fairly skeptical of this gambit. But i wouldn’t put too much stock in…well, stocks. If they can “lose” that much in a few days then they can “gain” it back in a few days too, because ultimately all of it is fake. The real material consequences will take some time to manifest.
