I don’t know his full history, so I don’t know about the war/violence aspect, but Mansa Musa - 14th century - had a lot of wealth (billionaire by today’s standards), but he was also generous with his wealth to the point that he made gold pretty much worthless in Egypt for a time. (He passed through there on his Hajj.) So at least one.
