Extremely disappointing news. You obviously never want to hear that you are being demoted because of poor performance, but you kind of have to just take it in stride. Look at what it did for Halladay back in the day. Seems like he wanted to be given more leash to work it out at the major league level. In another year where every game isn’t tied to potential playoff implications, sure, but the Jays needed more than he was able to produce at the time.
Just very confusing and disappointing news. He is/was right up there with my favourite current Jays, so hopefully there’s more going on here, and he hasn’t pitched his last game for us.
