I used to hate sparking water. Why would you want a fizzy drink that tastes like the worst parts of a lemon? That was, my friend, until fate gave me a coupon for a free case of Deer Park sparkling water and in my process of drinking through it, it finally clicked. “So this is what sparkling water is?”; this was a life changing moment.

Jumping forward a few years, I’ve dabbled with all sorts of brands including the notorious La Croix. My first sip of the lime flavor was magical, I was hooked. This tasted like dish soap to you Bill?

And when you get to the flavor combinations (≧▽≦), oh man. Pina Fraise is fucking gorgeous. So what’s everyone’s general consensus on La Croix? The only flavor I dislike is coconut because it’s a little strong. And some taste better room-temp rather than cold.

I like La Croix better than some of the other sparkling waters out there. It’s nice to have something without a bunch of sugar or added chemicals. My favorites are Key Lime, LemonCello, and …Coconut, because it has a strong coconut flavor. But water is better when you’re thirsty, hard to chug carbonated water!

I didn’t like the La Croix flavors I tried.

Big fan of Spindrift, only one or two flavors I haven’t liked. Deer Park and AHA were decent but Spindrift has a few calories which makes the difference.

None of these are going to “taste better” than something with 100+ calories but it’s a lot healthier. I don’t like artificial sweeteners either, sparkling water is it for me.

Spindrift is great because they actually use a bit of fruit juice/puree. You get a nice carbonated drink with a hint of lemon/like/raspberry/grapefruit/etc. They even have unsweetened tea sparkling water now.

It’s not sugar free, though. Each can has maybe 3-4 grams of sugar (which is still a heck of a lot better than 30-40 grams from an actual soda).

Would love to try La Croix. Where I live there aren’t any real flavored sparking waters that I know of, there are only some fake “flavored waters” that are packed with sugar so it turns out to be more like a clear soda.

I love sparkling water, but I have moved away from the flavored stuff, I stick to the pure one now. The only flavors I can really stand are the citrus ones, including pamplemousse. I used to nit mind other flavors, but they have slowly started to taste gross to me.

They synthesize all the flavorings with bacteria, I’m pretty sure. Its nice that it makes these inexpensive, but idk, I feel like they are really pushing it with stuff like limoncello.
