Edit: to be fair, Instagram IS horrible and does probably do something akin to what is claimed.
It has been proven that it grows and promotes mostly secret suicidal networks to suicidal teens. It’s algorithms are probably not intended to be harmful, but are not under guard at all, so they will promote any patterns that grows interaction, regardless of content.
This isn’t Elon being manipulated, this is Elon lashing out at a competitor in the exact same way he lashed out at the guy who was successful in rescuing the children in the cave when Elon’s idea was nonsense.

That was much worse imho while this is just childish. Of course, having a social child as a ~~ CEO~~ CTO is concerning.
I would imagine virtually all social media companies have this as a side effect, twitter definitely included.
