    never understood how the flat bare metal look is supposed to be appealing

    yeah, at best it’s edgy. not in a culturally significant or stylistically way, it’s just geometry. it’s all fucking edges. it looks like the car a 3 year old would draw.

    tesla, you had such potential.

      the delorian had a similar metal look and was unique at the time, and there are still hardly any vehicles that do anything other than boring paint for the exterior. Where’s the cast iron exterior vehicles that need to be seasoned regularly, what about bare aluminum or bismuth? why do all modern cars follow the same stupid aerodynamic shapes with silly crumple zones and overpriced paint. I say yes to unnovation and yes to rejecting the status quo.

        love the idea of cast iron cars, babe, it’s not rust, it’s seasoning :D
